This project is a celebration of the diverse and vibrant stories of immigrants in Surrey, BC and profiles the stories of five immigrants from India, the Middle East, Africa and South America. Each of them has a unique journey, but they all share the same spirit of resilience and hope.

Moqadas was working as a journalist in Afghanistan when the Taliban took control. With her life in danger, she had no choice but to leave her home country and look for safety elsewhere. She came to Canada as a refugee, and is now helping others who have experienced similar challenges.
