Camp Elphinstone

A short film for YMCA Camp Elphinstone, capturing the experience of summer camp through the perspectives of the youth and staff who bring it to life.

Created for YMCA Camp Elphinstone, this piece was designed to reflect the experience of summer camp through the perspectives of the youth and staff who shape it.

Filmed on location across the camp, the approach focused on capturing real moments as they unfolded, balancing observational footage with light interview-driven storytelling. Rather than scripting or staging moments, the goal was to create space for authentic interactions and let the environment, relationships, and daily rhythms naturally guide the story.

The result is a grounded and honest portrayal of camp life, highlighting both the energy of group activities and the quieter, more personal moments that define the experience.
