Specsavers Canada
In Conversation with Chris Hadfield
A content-driven campaign for Specsavers Canada featuring Chris Hadfield, structured as a single conversation and developed into a full suite of long-form and short-form assets.
Context
Specsavers Canada partnered with astronaut Chris Hadfield to lead a content series focused on eye health, accessibility, and innovation. The project was designed to build awareness and trust around the brand while positioning eye care as an essential part of everyday health. With a high-profile ambassador and a limited production window, the opportunity required a thoughtful approach to capture meaningful content efficiently while maintaining a premium, brand-aligned experience.
Approach
Rather than treating the deliverables as a series of separate pieces, we approached the project as a single, extended conversation. This allowed for a more natural and authentic exchange, while creating a foundation for a full content ecosystem across platforms.
The visual approach was grounded in a purpose-built environment, designed to reflect both the themes of space and vision. Working with production designer Logan Graham Greene, we developed a stylized living room set using large-scale imagery of Earth, creating a setting that felt both intimate and conceptually tied to the story.
Execution
The shoot was designed around a four-camera setup, allowing for flexibility in the edit while capturing a dynamic and engaging conversation between Chris Hadfield and Specsavers’ Clinical Services Director, Naomi Barber.
Working within a tightly scheduled window, the team captured a long-form interview that was later developed into a range of deliverables, including multiple long-form segments and a suite of shorter edits for social and digital rollout.
The final content was structured to support ongoing engagement over time, giving the client a versatile library of assets that could be deployed across channels while maintaining a consistent tone and message.
